Year-1
Clinical training delivered by local and global visiting faculty.
Preparation for IELTS/OET tests.
Clinical audits - intro & methodology.
Completion of mandatory short courses - BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS.
Optional e-learning courses on clinical epidemiology and scientific writing.
Year-2
Enrolment in the MBA program in Healthcare & Leadership from the University of South Wales.
FRCEM intermediate examination preparation.
Clinical audits - application & real-time audits.
Simulation sessions - communication skills, dealing with difficult situations, system based resources.
Short courses - NRP, EM Sono, Hospital Disaster Management.
Focus on work-life balance and community development programmes.
Year 3-5
18 months in secondary care: clinical training and non-clinical training.
Leadership skills training at USW.
18 months in tertiary centre: FRCEM preparation under educational supervisor.
FRCEM critical appraisal project or quality improvement project.
Sub-specialty training (optional) - USD, PEM, EMS, DM, Simulation etc.
